So a few weeks ago I decided to take my kids caterpillar hunting, and we were successful! We found 4 fat milkweed caterpillars and took them home to keep them as our pet until they hatched into butterflies. If anyone hasn't ever done this, I highly recommend it. Your kids will LOVE it. Karter thought it was the coolest thing ever! When they turned into Monarch butterflies, Karter got to hold them until they flew away. It was a fun thing to do with my kids.

How fun! Natalie and Hallie would love that because they love bugs of all kinds. You are such a good mom!
We usually do this every summer too, but didn't get to it this year! It is so fun to take the butterflies out right after they hatch!
Karter looks like he is pretty excited about the butterflies. Tif's family has done that and it is really neat.
What a pretty butterfly on such a handsome little fellas face! :) We have three of them that are about to come out any day! They are so much fun to watch. It's amazing how fast the caterpillars grow!
