Miss Lizzy

On December 21st at 3:24 p.m. our baby Lizzy, joined our family. I went into the hospital to be induced, thinking it was going to be a long day, but to all of our surprise, she was delivered in 3 hours. Whew! Thank goodness. She came out with a head full of dark brown hair and she looks just like her brother and sister. She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. Everything went way too smooth. A lot smoother than I have been through with my other two. I am so happy she is here and we are both healthy and doing wonderful. Her middle name is Cynthia, after Zach's mom whom passed away this March. We thought it was very special that both of our daughters are named after their grandmas. I am so blessed to have another daughter. She is so sweet and lovable. She cries when she needs something, but other then that, she is so easy going and cuddly. She has her dad wrapped around her finger already. He never complains about changing a diaper or trading me through the night to give me a few more hours of sleep. I am a lucky woman. I have been so blessed with a wonderful hubby and 3 sweet kids.

Getting so close!

So my baby ticker is telling me that I have 17 more days to go before this little baby joins our crazy family. I hope it's right! I am sooo ready to have this baby. It is time. I am so excited to hold her in my arms and smell her fresh baby smell. I am so excited to be able to hand her over to her dad so he can love on her and give me a little break. I am so excited for my other kids. They ask about when she is coming every day. They are just as excited for her as I am.
I can't complain though. This pregnancy hasn't been to bad. I was absolutely the sickest with this one, but it could have been worse. I have been fortunate to gain little weight, and I am hardly swelling at all. The only thing that has been very frustrating is when I broke my ankle in September and had to be on crutches for about 4 weeks. That was hard being prego and hobbling around on crutches. But that came and went. Now if only my blood pressure will stay where it is. My sisters and I have the darn genes where our blood pressure goes sky high when we get pregnant, which usually causes us to be induced. I had to be induced with my other two, and Hated it with a passion! Thank goodness the blood pressure pills are working for the most part. Its right on the verge of being too high. My awesome midwife, Helene, says we will just take it a week at a time. Fingers are crossed that I will go on my own. That's what I want the most out of this whole pregnancy is to be able to experience natural birth without the use of pitocin. So hopefully the next 2 weeks will go smoothly.
On another note, I am so happy to be having another daughter. That's what I wanted, was for Kaidynce to have a sister. Now hopefully down the road Karter will have a little brother. He thinks he needs one ! LOL! We will see.
I just hope everything goes extra smooth with the labor that will be happening sooner that I am probably ready for. Fingers, toes, and eye balls crosses for sure!

Tooth Fairy!!

Karter has finally had the experience of losing a baby tooth! It was a huge shock to me cause I didn't realize he was old enough to start losing his teeth, but then I realized he is 6 years old now. Wow. That crept up on me. Karter was really excited to lose a tooth and get money from the tooth fairy, until Zach tried to pull it out and then it freaked him out a bit. Poor kid. Hahahhahah! I felt bad but we explained that it had to come out. So He toughened up, as much as a 6 year old can, and endured the slight torture that occurred. After it was all over, he was grinning from ear to ear. We put that teeny tiny tooth in an envelope and Karter wrote tooth fairy on it and slid it under his pillow. He was so curious to know how the tooth fairy would get it from under his pillow without waking him up. LOl! Lets just say, the tooth fairy is pretty darn sneaky. She left him $1 and a note thanking him for his tooth, and reminding him to brush 2 times a day. He was so excited he woke me up at 2:00 that next morning to show me what she had left him. I love that he is growing up and going through more special events in his life. I just keep wondering, what is next.

It's about time!!

Karter started his first day of kindergarten here in Hibbard yesterday and all I can say is its about time!! He has been wanting to go ever since last year. We have been counting down the days EVERY day. He is such a trooper too. I walked him to his class and he acted like it was no big deal. Thank goodness. Aahhh relief for me. I was a little worried he would be scared but no worries in that kid. I told him I'd see him later, gave him a hug, and away I went. There were no tears or any sad feelings. I felt great! LOL!! We both enjoyed the first day of kindergarten. It was way too easy. Exactly how I hoped it would be. I'm so excited for him to start this new journey in his life. He's definitely growing up. Now hopefully he won't take after his dad and kiss all the girls in his kindergarten class! Fingers crossed.

ALOHA!!!

Zach and I just got back from our vacation in Kona, Hawaii, and it was wonderful. Zach has been doing such an amazing job at his work, that he qualified us to go on a trip, all expense paid. We left our kids with my sister, Jennie, and away we went. We stayed in a condo with our friends, the Hawkers, and the Sargeants, for the first two days. Then we checked into our hotel for the next 5 days. We had so much fun hanging out with great friends and lounging around on the beach. The weather was beautiful as well as the water. We took a few little road trips and found some amazing waterfalls. They were gorgeous! Hawaii is filled with so many beautiful flowers and plants too. It's like a little bit of heaven. It is an awesome place to go fall in love with your spouse all over again. I hope everyone gets to have this experience once in their life.

Sunday Retreat

Sunday we woke up to a rainy morning, but that doesn't stop us from doing what we love, and that is taking the boat and kids fishing. We have done it a few times already and haven't been too lucky in catching the fish. Luckily, this day was different. We went to the Ririe reservoir and it was so windy, but the sun was shining . We trolled up and down along the side of the water for 6 hours and ended up catching 7 large fish. It was so fun! The kids did amazing the whole time, and it ended up being a fun family trip. We got home around 8:00 that night and grilled out catch of the day for supper. The fish was delicious and we all can't wait to go do it again. I love spending time with my family away from the television, computer, and the darn cell phones. Ahhh heaven.

What's a Cracken?

Well, apparently little miss Kaidynce is enjoying the breeze today. Her and Karter were worm hunting for our fishing trip and I just so happened to walk by and notice her "little" crack peaking out of her pants. Too cute. I had to snap a shot and share it cause it made my day. I hope everyone got to enjoy our warm Saturday like little miss Kaidynce's crack did. I love that girl!!

Crazy Facts About Me

Okay, so I have lost my camera cord somewhere and am not able to download any pictures from the last month to update my blog with, so I decided to do a little post about me. I always do posts of my kids, holidays, trips, and some miscellaneous things, but I have never done a post on me. Most of you know me, but I don't think you really know me. So here it is, a post of crazy facts about me. Feel free to judge but know that one day my kids might just read this and have better understanding of their crazy mom. Also, if any of you feel like putting your stuff all out on the table like I am today, I would love to get to know you all better too. So here goes...

* My favorite color is deep purple. it just makes me feel good inside

* I crave doughnuts all the time, especially the ones with chocolate icing. YUM!

* I hate clam chowder with a passion. always have, always will.

* absolutely scared to death of spiders , but can handle the teeny tiny ones.

* Love Mountain Dew

* Have a very special place in my heart for animals. would love to adopt them all and get rid of euthanizing. It breaks my heart.

* I get teary eyed over feel good commercials and when someone wins or is given something very special. I am so happy for them.

* I look up to Ellen DeGeneres. She is always trying to help someone in need.

* I watch reality television and actually quite like the drama, even if its fake. Its entertaining for me.

* My favorite movies are comedy and romantic comedy. I love to laugh til my guts hurt, but also have that warm fuzzy feeling in my soul.

* I watch scary movies through the cracks in my fingers as I cover my eyes. Yes, I actually feel safer that way. A blanket helps too. LOl!

* I think Sean Connery is one sexy old man. His voice is amazing. Yep, he's my movie star crush.

* I like to read, but don't love it. The book has to capture me in the first chapter or its over for me, but once i get started on a good book, i finish it in a day or two.

* I could spend all day at a zoo.

* A horrible swimmer, but I try.

* Love that my kids think I can do anything.

* Hate being around negative people. They just bring me down.

* Had both of my children natural with no epidural. It was the most painful pain I have ever felt in my life. Also the biggest accomplishment I have ever done. I plan on doing it again and again. I figure if I've done it twice already , whats a few more times.

* Got to tell my mom how much I love her, what a great mom she was,and how proud I was to have her as my mom, and then helplessly watched her take her last breath in front of myself, and my brothers, sisters, and dad. I'd never seen anyone die before that. An experience I hope none of you have to go through in your life.

* Went through a spout of depression that I hid very well.

* Started sleeping with the television on so it would help drown all the sad, scary, and confusing thoughts that started going through my head after she died. I still sleep with the t.v. on and its been almost 4 years.

* I had dreams about her for 2 straight years that were confusing, and exhausting for me. I still have them once in a while .

* I stay up til 2 or 3 in the morning cause I can't sleep, but don't dare take sleeping aids cause I'm scared I'll get hooked.

* I check on my kids 4 to 5 times a night. I'm just always worried something will happen.

* Can not have my leg, arm, foot, elbow, or any part of my body hanging off the side of my bed. The boogie monster lives under there! Yes, its true. It has bothered me ever since I watched Freddy Kruger when I was younger. Hahahahah!

* I am absolutely scared to die. I wonder if it will hurt. I think about it all the time.

* Absolutely believe in Heaven, which brings me peace of mind.

* Am not active in the church like I should be. Simply have my priorities switched around when it comes to Sunday. That is our day to go fishing. One day it will change.

* Want to be sealed in the Temple with my husband and children.

* Would love to have 4 kids.

* Want to travel the world when my husband retires.

* Have only dated and kissed one boy my whole life, who I happened to marry and have been with for 13 years. When I met him, I knew he was the one for me. Simple as that.

* Got sprayed by a skunk when i was in 2nd grade. Mistake it for my cat. Big oops!

* I actually do care what people think of me. I try not to but it's hard for me.

* My feelings get hurt very easy.

* I wish my dad would have took his time getting remarried, but am grateful he's not alone.

* I love camping, fishing , and hunting.

* Am so thankful for growing up in the country and doing the crappy little jobs dad made us do. Such as, potato harvest, moving pipe, picking large rocks from the field, and picking potato beetles from the potato plants.

* I love doing hair and enjoyed beauty school, but hate working in a salon with all the drama that follows.

* I want to do more with friends.

* I have 2 butterfly tattoos on the right side of my back and plan on getting more. Even though it hurt, I enjoyed getting them done.

* Never smoked or done any drugs

* Have never been drunk or experienced a hang over. Never wanted too.

* Got breast implants when i was 26 and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. One regret, that I didn't do it earlier.

* Absolutely love my nieces and nephews and enjoy all of their different personalities.

* I respect the gay/lesbian people. I think that just because you love someone the same sex as you, doesn't mean your a bad person.

* I don't carry a tune very well, but love to belt out my favorite songs as loud as I can. My poor kids. LOL!

* Too shy to dance in public, but love to shake my booty in my kitchen. Oh yeah!

* Love to stick my face in flowers and smell as hard as i can to take it all in. Thank goodness I don't have allergies.

* Kiss my animals constantly. Love that my little poodle Twitch, sleeps right next to me, along with my cat Nebo. I don't know what I'll do without them.

* Secretly cuddle my chickens. I love them.

* I love reading my friends blogs.

* I can't wait to hold and smell my next baby.

Sad Day

So as most of you know, Zach lost his mom, Cynthia, a week ago. They found her in her home unresponsive and wasn't able to bring her back. She was sitting in her recliner chair. We all think she died of a heart attack but really never found out if that was the cause or not. She was severely sick for the last 5 months, and living with us in our home. She had just moved out a week before she past away. It is a very sad time in our lives. We have once again lost a dearly loved one. I am most upset for my kids. Another grandma gone. It breaks my heart, but I know that Cynthia wouldn't have wanted to be here and be miserable like she was. She is at peace now and is with her daughter, Melanie. We are happy for her. My kids are doing ok with the fact that grandma is in heaven now. Karter is so strong and just says that he knows he will see her again and he has 2 guardian angels now. He is so amazing to me. Kaidynce doesn't understand, and I don't expect her too. She keeps asking if she can go to heaven with grandma to see her. I explain to her everyday that she will see her again just not anytime soon. It is a bittersweet thing. I love my kids and wish that they could have grandma here longer but that's just part of this life we have to live. I will miss Cynthia very much. She was an amazing friend and mother-in-law. As for Zach, he is coping as much as he can. I feel bad for him for losing his mom, cause it is a painful thing to have to go through. He is strong though. He will just keep on with his busy life. That's what I love about him, he doesn't slow down, a trait handed down to him from his mom.

Fresh Powder

Happy New Year everyone!! It's been way too long since I have posted last. Sorry about that. Sometimes life just doesnt slow down long enough to blog, but I will try to do better! To start off our new year, we were invited to go to Island Park and stay in a cabin for 4 days with 6 other couples, and NO KIDS!! IT was heaven. We spent most of our time on the snowmachines. The snow was perfect, fresh powder, and the hot tub was always full. We had good food and great friends! A perfect way to start off our new year. So I have decided that that is what I want for my new years resolution, to have as much fun this year as possible. I'm not going to fret about my weight and what I'm eating. That idea is over rated. Nope, I am having a fun year and I am doing everything I can to enjoy it to the fullest. That should be an easy resolution to keep!
