Miss Lizzy

On December 21st at 3:24 p.m. our baby Lizzy, joined our family. I went into the hospital to be induced, thinking it was going to be a long day, but to all of our surprise, she was delivered in 3 hours. Whew! Thank goodness. She came out with a head full of dark brown hair and she looks just like her brother and sister. She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. Everything went way too smooth. A lot smoother than I have been through with my other two. I am so happy she is here and we are both healthy and doing wonderful. Her middle name is Cynthia, after Zach's mom whom passed away this March. We thought it was very special that both of our daughters are named after their grandmas. I am so blessed to have another daughter. She is so sweet and lovable. She cries when she needs something, but other then that, she is so easy going and cuddly. She has her dad wrapped around her finger already. He never complains about changing a diaper or trading me through the night to give me a few more hours of sleep. I am a lucky woman. I have been so blessed with a wonderful hubby and 3 sweet kids.

Getting so close!

So my baby ticker is telling me that I have 17 more days to go before this little baby joins our crazy family. I hope it's right! I am sooo ready to have this baby. It is time. I am so excited to hold her in my arms and smell her fresh baby smell. I am so excited to be able to hand her over to her dad so he can love on her and give me a little break. I am so excited for my other kids. They ask about when she is coming every day. They are just as excited for her as I am.
I can't complain though. This pregnancy hasn't been to bad. I was absolutely the sickest with this one, but it could have been worse. I have been fortunate to gain little weight, and I am hardly swelling at all. The only thing that has been very frustrating is when I broke my ankle in September and had to be on crutches for about 4 weeks. That was hard being prego and hobbling around on crutches. But that came and went. Now if only my blood pressure will stay where it is. My sisters and I have the darn genes where our blood pressure goes sky high when we get pregnant, which usually causes us to be induced. I had to be induced with my other two, and Hated it with a passion! Thank goodness the blood pressure pills are working for the most part. Its right on the verge of being too high. My awesome midwife, Helene, says we will just take it a week at a time. Fingers are crossed that I will go on my own. That's what I want the most out of this whole pregnancy is to be able to experience natural birth without the use of pitocin. So hopefully the next 2 weeks will go smoothly.
On another note, I am so happy to be having another daughter. That's what I wanted, was for Kaidynce to have a sister. Now hopefully down the road Karter will have a little brother. He thinks he needs one ! LOL! We will see.
I just hope everything goes extra smooth with the labor that will be happening sooner that I am probably ready for. Fingers, toes, and eye balls crosses for sure!

Tooth Fairy!!

Karter has finally had the experience of losing a baby tooth! It was a huge shock to me cause I didn't realize he was old enough to start losing his teeth, but then I realized he is 6 years old now. Wow. That crept up on me. Karter was really excited to lose a tooth and get money from the tooth fairy, until Zach tried to pull it out and then it freaked him out a bit. Poor kid. Hahahhahah! I felt bad but we explained that it had to come out. So He toughened up, as much as a 6 year old can, and endured the slight torture that occurred. After it was all over, he was grinning from ear to ear. We put that teeny tiny tooth in an envelope and Karter wrote tooth fairy on it and slid it under his pillow. He was so curious to know how the tooth fairy would get it from under his pillow without waking him up. LOl! Lets just say, the tooth fairy is pretty darn sneaky. She left him $1 and a note thanking him for his tooth, and reminding him to brush 2 times a day. He was so excited he woke me up at 2:00 that next morning to show me what she had left him. I love that he is growing up and going through more special events in his life. I just keep wondering, what is next.

It's about time!!

Karter started his first day of kindergarten here in Hibbard yesterday and all I can say is its about time!! He has been wanting to go ever since last year. We have been counting down the days EVERY day. He is such a trooper too. I walked him to his class and he acted like it was no big deal. Thank goodness. Aahhh relief for me. I was a little worried he would be scared but no worries in that kid. I told him I'd see him later, gave him a hug, and away I went. There were no tears or any sad feelings. I felt great! LOL!! We both enjoyed the first day of kindergarten. It was way too easy. Exactly how I hoped it would be. I'm so excited for him to start this new journey in his life. He's definitely growing up. Now hopefully he won't take after his dad and kiss all the girls in his kindergarten class! Fingers crossed.

ALOHA!!!

Zach and I just got back from our vacation in Kona, Hawaii, and it was wonderful. Zach has been doing such an amazing job at his work, that he qualified us to go on a trip, all expense paid. We left our kids with my sister, Jennie, and away we went. We stayed in a condo with our friends, the Hawkers, and the Sargeants, for the first two days. Then we checked into our hotel for the next 5 days. We had so much fun hanging out with great friends and lounging around on the beach. The weather was beautiful as well as the water. We took a few little road trips and found some amazing waterfalls. They were gorgeous! Hawaii is filled with so many beautiful flowers and plants too. It's like a little bit of heaven. It is an awesome place to go fall in love with your spouse all over again. I hope everyone gets to have this experience once in their life.

Sunday Retreat

Sunday we woke up to a rainy morning, but that doesn't stop us from doing what we love, and that is taking the boat and kids fishing. We have done it a few times already and haven't been too lucky in catching the fish. Luckily, this day was different. We went to the Ririe reservoir and it was so windy, but the sun was shining . We trolled up and down along the side of the water for 6 hours and ended up catching 7 large fish. It was so fun! The kids did amazing the whole time, and it ended up being a fun family trip. We got home around 8:00 that night and grilled out catch of the day for supper. The fish was delicious and we all can't wait to go do it again. I love spending time with my family away from the television, computer, and the darn cell phones. Ahhh heaven.

What's a Cracken?

Well, apparently little miss Kaidynce is enjoying the breeze today. Her and Karter were worm hunting for our fishing trip and I just so happened to walk by and notice her "little" crack peaking out of her pants. Too cute. I had to snap a shot and share it cause it made my day. I hope everyone got to enjoy our warm Saturday like little miss Kaidynce's crack did. I love that girl!!
