4 months Already!!

Alright so time has gotten away from me and I have neglected my blog. So sorry! We have had a lot of things going on in our lives but I am trying to figure out my new computer, so bare with me. So Lizzy is now 4 months old. Sniff, sniff. It does make me sad, but really happy too. She is amazing and such a fast learner. She started rolling over at 2 1/2 months old and is working on sitting up on her own. She is so determined that it is scary. She's got little abs of steel! She is holding her bottle and every thing else that she can get her little hands on, especially her soft blankets and my hair. I will not be surprised if she is an early walker. She is also a very long baby. She weighs 12.9 pounds and is 26.5 inches long. That puts her in the 99% for her height. Its crazy. She is already wearing 6 month clothes cause she is too long. Its so interesting how different each baby has been. Lizzy also has such a spunky personality. she is always happy and easy going. She makes it very easy being her mom and even easier making the transition of 2 kids to 3. thank goodness!!! BUT, I've got to figure out the sleeping at night issue that i am having. She wakes up sometimes every hour . It makes me go crazy! all she wants is her darn pacifier or her bottle . I have gotten to that point of having to let her cry it out a few times because I am just too darn tired to get my old body out of bed again for the millionth time. I am trying to positive about the situation and crossing my fingers that she will catch on that I need my sleep too. Hahahah! Any advice would be very appreciated . Please help!!

EASTER 2012

Easter this year was so nice. The weather was gorgeous and my kids were all healthy and happy. We started the morning off with an inside easter egg hunt for our kids. Karter and Kaidynce always get so excited when they have to go find the eggs. It is always fun to watch them get so excited about it. They found their eggs and their baskets , which were filled with a chocolate bunny and a basketball for each of them. The easter bunny brought them a basketball hoop, which gets used every day! We ate some yummy crepes for breakfast and then ventured up to my sister, Jennie's house in Chester for a picnic together. We had steak, home made potato salad, chips and cupcakes. It was delicious. Next we loaded up all the kiddos on the four wheelers and went for a very long ride. It was so hot and fun. We seen deer, and coyotes and lots of rock chucks. We ended the evening with a hotdog roast in their backyard. It was perfect. I love holidays like that. Simple and satisfactory.

NOT a happy camper

Kaidynce had her tonsils and adenoids taken out and tubes put in her ears yesterday, and lets just say she has not been a happy camper. She has been extremely miserable. She has been getting horrible ear aches and infections for quite some time and finally we took her to a specialist, Dr. McMaster and he suggested we do the procedure. It was a no brainer for us. Her surgery went really good. Both of her ears were infected again, and her adenoids were blocking 80% of her nasal passages. wow. Poor kid. No wonder she couldn't have a peaceful night, in what seems like forever. So now we are on the road to recovery and so far it isn't a pretty one. Her pain meds make her cranky and confused. She is kind of a little beast right now, but hopefully soon she will feel better. Its hard to see your kids go through things like this . I do know that it will be worth it in the long run. She is one tough little cookie who will hopefully be able to go outside without wearing a stocking hat every time. Lets hope so!

New Recliner and Earings

No I am not talking about myself in this post, although I would love a new recliner and earrings, but Miss Lizzy is enjoying her new items. She is now 2 months old and I decided it was time to be a mean mommy and take her to Claire's to get her ears pierced. I know, some people think this is the meanest thing a mom can do, but I highly disagree. It lasts for 2 seconds and it doesn't hurt that bad. Lizzy did great! She did shed a few tears but was over it in about 1 minute. I love her earrings. They are so cute in her ears. She is so strong and can hold her neck up awesome so we decided to buy her one of those Bumbo chairs. She is in heaven! She loves sitting up so this is the perfect solution for me when I have some housework to do. I LOVE cuddling Lizzy, but lets face it, its nice to be able to give our arms and back a rest. She doesn't seem to mind at all. I enjoy having another daughter to spoil rotten. She has one heck of a personality already. I love seeing her bloom. She is smiling and cooing like crazy. She currently weighs 10 lbs. and is 23.5 inches long. She is too long for 0-3 month old clothes so everywhere we go she is wearing high waters. Haha! Oh well. She is still pretty stinken cute.

Little Monkey

Lizzy is growing so fast that I can't even believe she is almost 3 weeks old. It is a bittersweet thing. I am glad that she is growing and changing in a healthy way, but I love the new born stage when they just cuddle and sleep. I don't want her to grow so fast, but as we all know, it happens with a blink of an eye. As of right now she weighs 7lbs. 7oz. and is 22 inches long. Tall and skinny and as cute as can be. She is such a sweet baby and so easy going, just like Karter and Kaidynce were. Lizzy, on the other hand, was blessed with this crazy out of control hair. It goes everywhere and does not lay down no matter how much I grease it down. I love every bit of it! I am crossing my fingers that it doesn't fall out. I love having three kids. It makes my days even more crazier and my life feels even fuller. I have noticed a few grey hairs playing peek-a-boo with me though. So the chaos is catching up with me, but bring it on. I am trained on how to cover up those silver beasts!!!

Miss Lizzy

On December 21st at 3:24 p.m. our baby Lizzy, joined our family. I went into the hospital to be induced, thinking it was going to be a long day, but to all of our surprise, she was delivered in 3 hours. Whew! Thank goodness. She came out with a head full of dark brown hair and she looks just like her brother and sister. She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. Everything went way too smooth. A lot smoother than I have been through with my other two. I am so happy she is here and we are both healthy and doing wonderful. Her middle name is Cynthia, after Zach's mom whom passed away this March. We thought it was very special that both of our daughters are named after their grandmas. I am so blessed to have another daughter. She is so sweet and lovable. She cries when she needs something, but other then that, she is so easy going and cuddly. She has her dad wrapped around her finger already. He never complains about changing a diaper or trading me through the night to give me a few more hours of sleep. I am a lucky woman. I have been so blessed with a wonderful hubby and 3 sweet kids.

Getting so close!

So my baby ticker is telling me that I have 17 more days to go before this little baby joins our crazy family. I hope it's right! I am sooo ready to have this baby. It is time. I am so excited to hold her in my arms and smell her fresh baby smell. I am so excited to be able to hand her over to her dad so he can love on her and give me a little break. I am so excited for my other kids. They ask about when she is coming every day. They are just as excited for her as I am.
I can't complain though. This pregnancy hasn't been to bad. I was absolutely the sickest with this one, but it could have been worse. I have been fortunate to gain little weight, and I am hardly swelling at all. The only thing that has been very frustrating is when I broke my ankle in September and had to be on crutches for about 4 weeks. That was hard being prego and hobbling around on crutches. But that came and went. Now if only my blood pressure will stay where it is. My sisters and I have the darn genes where our blood pressure goes sky high when we get pregnant, which usually causes us to be induced. I had to be induced with my other two, and Hated it with a passion! Thank goodness the blood pressure pills are working for the most part. Its right on the verge of being too high. My awesome midwife, Helene, says we will just take it a week at a time. Fingers are crossed that I will go on my own. That's what I want the most out of this whole pregnancy is to be able to experience natural birth without the use of pitocin. So hopefully the next 2 weeks will go smoothly.
On another note, I am so happy to be having another daughter. That's what I wanted, was for Kaidynce to have a sister. Now hopefully down the road Karter will have a little brother. He thinks he needs one ! LOL! We will see.
I just hope everything goes extra smooth with the labor that will be happening sooner that I am probably ready for. Fingers, toes, and eye balls crosses for sure!
